North West Photo Fest Exhibition, 'The Wilderness Around Us', and a featured selection of the best of Canadian photojournalism in the year 2017 which recognizes the excellence represented in submissions by Canada’s outstanding photojournalists whose compelling images collectively represented a spectacular body of work. It will officially open with a reception on Thursday, August 9, 2018, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., and be on display until Saturday, September 8, 2018.

‘Local Lens, an exhibition of Northwest Photographers’ will show in the Upstairs Gallery of the Kitimat Museum from August 9th to September 21st, 2019. ‘Local Lens’ invites the public to explore local photography by northern photographers.  With no theme, Photographers were encouraged to share through their local lenses what they see in their local lives.  Home, town activities and street views, family, friends, wildlife, and the outdoors are only a few examples.
